Sometimes it is fun to take a little break from the day-to-day activities that consume us. For those of us in Northern California Lake Tahoe always fits that bill. Whether it is summer or winter there is just about everything to do under the sun available. We have had a pretty lively winter here and at this point the snow pack is looking excellent.
For the little tykes among us (myself included) snow play is something that will always be remembered. This trip is the best we have seen in quite a while. During our annual excursions over the past few years we always seem to experience snow storms the entire time. Well this year is different! After an additional several feet during the latter half of the week the weather has turned and brought the region and its visitors some fabulous opportunities to enjoy the snowy outdoors.
While I am ready for spring there is really nothing better than enjoying sunny snow fun with the family!!! Tahoe Donner is a fantastic place to stay and play and has everything a family needs to have a great time. Hopefully we can expect a few more storms for late spring skiing as well as an abundance of water for California this year.

The neighborhood consists of only five streets including: Silver Maple Drive, Sugar Maple Drive, Full Moon Way, Red Maple Drive, Red Maple Place & Red Maple Court. This is truly a wonderful family community located in the highly touted San Ramon Valley Unified School District.

East Bay Mortgage Market Update for January 21st 2011
Economic News: The economic reports which rounded out the week were all positive. Jobless Claims were lower with the four week moving average down by 4,000 and down by 14,000 from the month ago reading. Existing Home Sales surprised to the upside with a 12.3% increase in December coupled with large reduction in supply which was down to 8.1 months from 9.5. Lastly, the Philadelphia Fed Survey showed broad based strength in the manufacturing sector. Next week contains a full slate of economic reports as well as the FOMC Two Day Meeting with their statement release on Wednesday.
Mortgage Markets: The 10 Year Note is currently trading at 3.422% and Mortgage Backed Securities are regaining some of the losses from yesterday which were attributed to the poor 10 Year TIPS (Treasury Inflation Protected Securities) auction.
Next Week's Reports: Tuesday: Case-Shiller Home Price Index & Consumer Confidence Wednesday: New Home Sales & FOMC Meeting Announcement Thursday: Jobless Claims, Durable Goods & Pending Home Sales Index Friday: GDP, Employment Cost Index & Consumer Sentiment
