Does Real Estate Remind You of Fishing???

Roxanne Schilling: Real Estate Agent in Copperopolis, CA

Eight trout

I have thought about this many times. Fishing is like real estate. Sometimes you catch them and sometimes you don't. Sometimes you hook them and loose them. Sometimes you hook them and actually real them in. It can be fun just feeling them nibbling on the hook. It is exciting. But it is more fun when you real them in and land them right in the boat. That is your reward.

But whether you land your fish, catch the biggest one, catch the smallest or catch the most, just enjoy it and have a blast!!! These eight trout, (actually 9 were landed but it was in the bottom of the cooler and we didn't see it to take the picture) were caught last Sunday night at Lake Tulloch, California.

So how many times do you have to show property before they even nibble???? Who knows??? The more time spent the more fish you will catch. Fishermen/women try every type of bait they can think of. They fish at the crack of dawn, in the late afternoon and even after dark.

If you are in a rut with real estate.......TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT. Work at different hours, go different places and meet different people. USE DIFFERENT BAIT. When a client nibbles and you loose them, don't give up, put that bait back in the water and keep trying. Don't ever look back or you might set yourself up to loose the next one. And the next one might be a BIGGER FISH.

HAPPY FISHING! Let me know how you do......in real estate and fishing.

San Andreas is the County Seat of Calaveras County. Calaveras County has great beauty and its towns are rich in history, the community of Murphys is popular with winerys, resturants, gift shops and the town is both charming and inviting.

Angels Camp is the type of town where you meet friendly neighbors, shop for art or spend the morning playing golf.

Arnold, Valley Springs and the new communitoes surrounding Coppperopolis are popluar with new home construction or the home or cabin for the weekend getaway.

I have always enjoyed the quaint communities of Mt. Ranch, Sheep Ranch & West Point.

OUR CURRENT MARKET AT LAKE TULLOCH

Roxanne Schilling: Real Estate Agent in Copperopolis, CA

In my opinion our market here is at the bottom. It reminds me of the market in 1992 when I first got into the real estate business. We have several foreclosures now in the Copper Cove Subdivision and an abundance of short sales in the Calypso Bay Community. It is very interesting that the Lake Tulloch Shores Subdivision, (better known as Poker Flat) has had only one short sale and one foreclosure recently.

The Sellers who are serious now in selling have dropped their prices accordingly. All in all there are some excellent buys out there for just about everyone; from first time home buyers to investors. The market WILL climb back up even though it might take a few years. There will be money to be made once again.

If Sellers are concerned with selling low, it is only a positive that you now can purchase low and save on your property taxes. Those property taxes go on forever.

Now is also a wonderful time to pick up a decent priced waterfront home. Lake Tulloch is our #1 attraction!!! Water sports, good old R&R and don't forget FISHING.

If you are considering selling or purchasing in todays current market, please contact myself @ (209)770-2724 and I would be happy to assist you.
