The photograph above taken at (Mono Lake California).
Robert Swetz headed out to capture the beauty of Nature
Another weekend off and I am very excited about getting out of the city, breathing some fresh air, taking some beautiful photographs like the ones on this post, writing some pages for my new book and relaxing my body & soul with some natural meditation.
All of us live in different areas of Natural beauty that God has created for us. For me Nature and Beauty are my "Happiness" and that is why I continue to post with photographs.
I post photographs about different places to show possible reasons people may want to relocate or move to these areas.
As everyone knows my favorite areas of beauty are Northern California, Alaska, Oregon,Washington State, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, New Mexico and more.
I have already planned a very serious vacation overseas in countries like New Zealand, Australia, Thailand and China and I will have around three different cameras in hand.
So until then please enjoy the beauty of these photographs taken in United States of America.
This post has been posted to one of my favorite groups at Activerain and you are more than welcome to join the fun at ..............

"OLD GLORY" and Friends .............
I captured "OLD GLORY" and some Friends several months ago and I thought this would be the perfect day to cast it's glory with a couple friends near by.
This post is for all the people that have fought for the (Freedom) of the United Sates of America and preserving the beauty of our wonderful country
Next to "OLD GLORY" stands The Mammoth Lakes area flag on the (left) and on the (right) is The State of California flag.
These three different flags represent three different very beautiful places in America.
The photo (below) is Vegas Bob on the top of Mammoth Mountain and try to imagine if the open beauty you see behind him was built up because another country had taken over and developed it with a city or industrial plant.
Let's try not to forget how "Lucky" we are to live in a country like the USA!

God displays his beauty for Robert Swetz in a moving way!
I have traveled many places around the world and photographed God's beauty but when I came across this scene I was very moved.
God displays his beauty to all people and so many of us miss the change to take it in.
Well I made sure I didn't pass up this moment and after taking several photographs of this scene I sat by the water, took in deep breaths of fresh air and looked in awe at what was before my eyes.
Please try to take time out in your busy week and get out and search areas of beauty like this one.
If I was to ever have a retirement home I would love to have a view like this out my windows & or patio, I really don't know if I would ever become bored with looking at a scene like this.
"This view is quite breath taking!"
Can you guess where this photograph may have been taken or what lake this is?

Beautiful Rainbow Falls ........
When I was a teenager we use to hike through the mountains of Oregon and northern California and I have always been amazed by waterfalls.
The water falling over the rocks to create a white, blue, green color and the noise of the water can be so relaxing and hypnotic. And sometimes if you hike down by the bottom of a waterfall there is a mist, rainbow and the odor of fresh water.
I have photographed 100s of waterfalls through my life and most of my photographs are all gone, lost, misplaced, etc.
My goal next year will be to photograph more waterfalls like the one in the photo (above).
This photograph was taken in Mammoth Lakes California and it is quite a site to see, later in the afternoons the sun will shine through the mist of this waterfall creating a beautiful Rainbow.
We hiked down to early in the morning so we missed the rainbow at this waterfall called "Rainbow Falls"

Please read and take a look at this post about some very old strange rocks in Mammoth Lakes area.
Can anyone please tell me what this person is sitting on and where these rocks might be located?
I would like to congratulate James Malanowski for guessing the right answer to my question about he strange rocks and here is another photograph (above).
The photograph of the six sided rocks are at the top of this cliff.
The name of the strange rocks are Devil's Postpile in Mammoth Lakes California
