Newbury Park is located about 33 miles from Los Angeles and 45 miles from Santa Barbara, and is situated in the beautiful Southern California orchard country. Nestled against the Santa Monica Mountain National Recreation Area, Newbury Park is an unincorporated community located in the western portion of the City of Thousand Oaks in Conejo Valley, and thus was a part of the master planned community of the Janss Corporation.

Newbury Park offers easy access to large areas of parkland and stunning Pacific beaches. For golfing enthusiasts, over 30 fine golf courses are within as many miles of Newbury Park and are set amidst beautiful landscaping. With the year-round, near-perfect weather, the community is a kind of a Mecca for golfers.

Today, Newbury Park is known as one of the most affluent areas in the country and is a significant presence in the "Tech Coast" area. "Tech Coast" is a term used to define the region's economic and industrial drivers, particularly in a global sense, as opposed to the former economy which was predominantly built around aerospace and defense.

Students from Newbury Park, CA attend schools within the Conejo Valley School District.
