If you missed the Burmese New Year (Water Festival) Part One, I have left the URL below ao you can take a look.
Burmese New Year (Water Festival) in Los Angeles Caifornia (Part One)
Some one left a comment to part one asking about the water in the title. And yes water is thrown at the festival for different reasons, one of the reasons is the water cleans and prepares each other for the coming New Year. The other reason is because in Burma this time of the year it is very hot and the cool water is refreshing and fun.
The four burmese below are dressed in a style from Shan State which is in northern Burma, just south of China.
These Burmese below are displaying a Burmese dance with special hand gestures.
These young ladies below are from different Burmese States trying to become the new 2009 Miss (Water Festival) Queen.
Below are several ladies on stage waiting to hear who will be Miss 2009 (Water Festival) Queen.
The young lady below with the (Red) ribbon around her is the new Miss 2009 (Water Festival) Queen.

Burmese New Year (Water Festival) in Los Angeles California (Part One)
I spent Sunday in Los Angeles at the Burmese Water Festival and it was so much fun. There were thousands of Burmese at the gathering and there was food, music, water sports & more.
You may recognize some of these people in these photographs because they are my relatives and I have posted some other pics in the past.
You may just happen to see Vegas Bob in one of the photos!
I have so many photographs that I will be posting several blogs on the Burmese New Year (Water Festival).
