People and clients alike keep asking me what’s going on with the market? Is it a good time to buy? Of course all this depends on their situation, but yes, this could be a great time to buy. Interest rates are their lowest in years, and prices have come down to more affordable levels. Let’s check the facts directly off the MLS.

There were 87 SFR and 16 condo active listings as of January 30, 2012. There were 20 closed sales for both SFR and Condos in January with an average 122 days on the market. Last year at this time, there were 27 closed sales with an average of 96 days on the market. It appears that homes are taking longer to sell, which may be the result of many factors. I believe that uncertainty in the economy and employment on shaky footing may be causing reluctance in purchasing.

Fountain Valley Trunk or Treat

 

If you're like me, Trunk or Treat may be a fairly (or brand new) term for you.  In a trunk or treat, several cars are gathered together, and their trunks are opened, decorated, and filled with candy.

 

Halloween Trunk or Treat 

This year, the City of Fountain Valley is having its first trunk or treat.  The trunk or treat will take place on Friday 10-28-11 at 5:30 pm.

Wear a costume, and be sure to bring a bag for your treats.  There will be other games and activities.

After you are trunk or treated out, the City of Fountain Valley will present Gremlins as part of their Friday Night movie series.  The movie starts at 7pm.

The trunk or treat will take place at Fountain Valley Recreation Center and Sports Park at 16400 Brookhurst St., Fountain Valley, CA.
