Pete's Teriyaki is one of my favorite places to eat in Northwest Fresno. They have delicious food, generous portions and great prices! My favorite thing at Pete's Teriyaki is the House Specialty-Special Fried Chicken Spicy!!! Make sure to add Spicy to your order, it is actually addicting!!! Ask my 15 year old who wishes I would get her the Spicy Chicken everday!!! I get text messages every week from her begging me to bring her Pete's at school!!! If she misses a week without Pete's, she gets cranky. I'm serious. That's how good it is.

The House Specialty comes with a huge portion of chicken, steamed white rice, and Tempura vegetables. Just a head's up, if you want the cucumber salad, you just have to ask, it's included on request. Also, you must request Tempura sauce for your veggies if your getting it to go. Another awesome feature about Pete's is the quick, friendly service. They are always so nice and you get your food fast, even when they are packed.

Don't take my word on how delicious and addicting Pete's is, you've got to try it for yourself!!! Go on down to Pete's Teriyaki today (not Sundays though) on the Northeast corner of Shaw and Marks. You will discover a new favorite place!!!

The Malloch Fall Carnival in Northwest Fresno is arriving just in time for all of those youngsters who are feeling the disappointment of Halloween being over and for the adults who need to start their Holiday shopping. This year the carnival will be held on Friday Evening, November 5, 2010. This fun event begins at 4 pm and you will have until 8 to play games, eat, shop, and mingle.

This annual event is Malloch's main fundraiser every year. It helps support many of the great programs you can find at Malloch. The silent auction is always full of amazing baskets as well as great items. Each class at Malloch puts together a themed basket and the proceeds go back directly to the individual classroom. This really helps the teachers purchase much needed supplies for their class.

There are many popular and favorite games each year at the Malloch Carnival, including the cake walk, donut game, big inflatables, and so much more.

Tickets and wristbands will be sold before school all this week. If your interested in donating for the carnival, food, desserts, silent auction items, or even cash donations please email me and I will put you in touch with the carnival directors.

Malloch is located in Northwest Fresno at 2251 W. Morris, 93711. It is just South of Bullard Avenue and off of Forkner Avenue. Morris is a one way street, your best bet is to enter off of Forkner Avenue.

Fresno Office Building on West Shaw went up in smoke today, Wednedsay, October 20, 2010  

This afternoon the building diagnolly across the parking lot from our Keller Williams Realty office went up in smoke.  Apparently a company was working on the two story building's roof when the something went wrong and the crane working on the building caused a fire to begin.

The rest of this story is just what I HEARD, and you know how that goes, so nothing has been verified!!!  Word or rumor has it that they didn't call the Fire department immediately, the workers tried to extinguish the fire themselves.It is being said that this delay caused much more damage to the inside of the building.  Had the firefighters been able to respond quicker, they could have saved more of the building from being smoke damaged.  

This evening we were told that part of the building and it's contents were ruined because of smoke damage.  I feel for the folks who have their businesses here in this building.  

Shaw Avenue was backed up for 3+ hours today and traffic was rerouted as the four fire engine crews worked on putting out the fire.

Takumi Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar in Fresno, Ca. is a wonderful place to enjoy a delicious meal. They have a variety of dining options to meet everyone's needs. Takumi has been open for just over a year now and is located on Shaw and Valentine at 3486 West Shaw Avenue in Northwest Fresno.

Takumi has become one of my favorite places to go for lunch. For one, it is simply delicious, and second, the lunch specials they have Monday thru Thursday are hard to beat. You can have the Tepanyaki lunch special for $8.95. Now, that's a deal!!! The lunch special consists of Chicken, Steak, and Shrimp. You also get the soup appetizer, fried rice, and vegetables. I can never finish it all. They also have a box lunch special that is priced right at $7.95, but I have to admit, I have never tried it because I always do the Tepanyaki, I'm never not in the mood for that!!!

The layout of the restaurant is great because it does allow for many different options. There is a sushi bar, the traditional dining room, the tepanyaki area, and lastly, a bar. When you first come in you are greeted by a beautiful indoor koi pond.

Takumi is a great place to meet co-workers or friends for lunch, have dinner with the family, celebrate special occasions, or even for a romantic date. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff is kind and courteous. If you do decide to have Tepanyaki, you can request one of my favorite two cooks, Ko or Tony, they are the best!!! Go ahead and give Takumi a try, you will be sure to add it to your favorite places to eat in Northwest Fresno as well!!!
