Starting October 17 — November 6, 2011

The city of Glendora, CA will be collecting items for a time capsule and you can be a part of it. By items I mean anything that is of significant historical value to the year 2011. The final selection for the capsule will be made by the Glendora Committee and donors will be recognized.

Items may be taken to the Community Services Office at City Hall, 116 E. Foothill Blvd., Glendora, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

What are your plans for the summer? Summer is a call to be outdoors and I have just the outdoorsy thing for you. A series of summer concerts in the bandstand of Finkbiner Park, co-sponsored by the Glendora Kiwanis Club and Glendora Transportation. Every Sunday starting today, July 10th — August 21st, 2011 ♪♫♪♪♫

Independence Day by hosting a day of fun for one and all. Here is an Itinerary of the day's activities to celebrate Independence Day:

6:30 a.m. Pancake Breakfast — parking lot between Nelson's Drug Store and the Village Vault

9:00 a.m. Parade — Along Glendora Ave. Between Foothill and Bennett Ave.

9:00 a.m. Glendora Centennial Business Expo — North of Meda Ave

10:15 a.m. Stage Show — Village Plaza

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The Surfaris Concert

We enjoy having cat and dogs and other animals as pets in fact they become like family. Look closely and you will find them in a family picture, in a photo album, in picture frames, by our side, in our lap, in a word inseparable. So the attachment that we have to them is understandable, especially a pet that we have had for years.

The live span however is not as long as we would like it to be.
