New homes sales increased in June 11% with 384,000 units sold, the gain over the previous month was great, the number of homes sold in May was 352,000. Sales are still 21% below 2008 level, when 488,000 were sold according to hud.
Builders are optimistic, in June they started building homes at a rate of 470,000 an increase of 14.4% over May.
