When I was a teenager, I worked at a summer camp for 3 summers. Those were memorable, amazing summers where I reinforced my independance, gained responsibility, and felt pride in earning a fair income. It was also memorable because I saw many ways in which the talented camp counselors positively affected the campers. Year after year, I saw campers return, and many said that camp had affected them positively in some way.
That's why I am more than happy to help out a fellow community member by promoting an upcoming Car Wash Fundraiser for the Young Life group, which is raising money to help send 30-50 kids to summer camp. Here are the details:

Activity continues to increase in Fusion South Bay with both a variety of sizes and floorplans, but a combination of traditional sales, short sales, and one for sale by owner. The Fusion South Bay townhome complex in Hawthorne, just east of Manhattan Beach continues to offer some great opportunities for buyers priced out of some of the nearby communities of El Segundo, Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach. There are currently 4 units on the market with various layouts and sizes available. 2 of the homes are short sales priced at $399,000 which makes for a great opportunity to get a home in this 2006 built community. With downward pricing pressure from foreclosures and short sales, the market for lower priced homes in Del Aire is really picking up. Homes that had been sitting on the market are now going into contract. Of the 5 single family homes priced below $400,000 (which would have been unheard of a year ago) 4 have gone into escrow in the past month after some were sitting on the market for quite a while. Of the 5 homes 2 are bank owned homes, 1 is a short sale, one is a court ordered (not probate) sale and only one is traditional seller. When we were at the peak of the market the townhomes in the Fusion complex drew a great deal of interest for many couples and singles priced out of the nearby Beach Cities. Fusion is technically on 149th Street in Hawthorne, but is just off Aviation Blvd and directly across the street from Manhattan Beach. As the market cooled so did the prices in Fusion and we're now seeing smaller 2 bedroom townhomes selling in the low to mid $400,000 range.
