Animal Rescue Friends of Idyllwild, A nonprofit volunteer pet rescue that finds permanent homes for stray unwanted or abandoned animals. They also offer temporary foster homes, reunite lost and found pets, and provide medical care.
Camp Buckhorn, a full service year-round over 40 mountaintop camp
Artisans Gallery, Locan artist and crafters come here with a wide variety of work, including oil painting, pottery, photographs, scultures, jewelry and much more.

When you live in the Palm Springs, CA Area... sometimes in the summer it just makes sense to travel up the hill into cooler air... and go to a belly-dancing festival!
Idylwild contiunes its rich tradition of artistic excellence by playing host to the 2nd Biennial Tribal Rendezvous Festival The festival will feature three days of workshops, vending (shopping), and shows commencing on Friday August 20th at 7pm with a “teaser” at local restaurant and social club Café Aroma.
The Saturday evening Tribal Rendezvous Gala Show and Soiree will feature performances with the festival’s headliners as well as guest dancers Heather Shoopman, Clamity Sam (from Los Angeles) Edenia (Inland Empire) and guest Musicians Jeremiah Soto (Sacramento) and Danny “Slapjazz” Barber (San Diego) . The show begins at 7:30pm and is open to the public with general admission tickets available for $30, which includes a cocktail buffet of middle eastern foods.
Because, really... what says summer more than a Bellydance Festival?!

Only the Garden of Eden could be more beautiful than the mountains of Idyllwild California. Gold can still be found in them thar hills maybe not the kind that you spend, but certainly the kinds that make you feel rich. The sights are magnificent this time of year.

Even the bears can't resist taking in all the beauty Idyllwild has to offer.

The people that live here get to take in this beauty every day. Wouldn't it be nice to call this home?
