Most people these day's are DIY people in order to save money, and who can blame them. When faced with a clogged sink, most people don't realize that sinks can not be snaked from above. The Sink opening is made to prevent objects from getting into the pipes, thus making it all to difficult to snake through.
To snake through you will need to disconnect the P-trap from under the sink. Before removing the P-trap, make sure you place a bucket underneath since there will still be water in the p-trap.
Once you remove the P-trap, look into the pipe and see if you can see any obstructions. If you don't see anything, the clog could be further down the line.
Feed the snake through the line until you hit whatever it is that's blocking and causing the clog. Keep pushing the cable forward till you release the clog and no longer feel the obstruction. Replace the P-trap and run hot water for a minute or so, and your clog should be cleared.
If you find yourself having more then just a simple clog to handle, don't risk it, call a professional Plumber.

I have been out on my broker open house this week and this video is a synposis of some of the homes for sale in La Canada Flintridge, Glendale and La Crescenta. My name is Sue Eller and I am a Realtor in La Canada Flintridge at Dilbeck Real Estate. As a previous member of the entertainment industry, I like to put a creative spin on what I do. I hope those who watch this video find it informative and entertaining. I am a bit camera shy, but as you will see at the end, my dog, Shadow is a movie star! The video depicts 3 home, one in Adams Hill in Glendale, one in La Crescenta and one in La Canada Flintridge. Also, at the end of the video I talk about 1231 Inverness Drive and 1340 Sugar Loaf Drive which are my listings in La Canada that will be having open house. Love any feedback or comments or suggestions for improving these videos. Also, in honor of Halloween, watch the second video, a fun Real Estate Video Spoof by me and my colleague at Dilbeck. Call me at (818) 668-4005 to learn more about any of these homes or if you would like me to help you buy or sell any other property in the area!
