Palm Royale Country Club offers 1- and 2-bedroom condos overlooking the Coachella Valley's premiere short course. Located in north La Quinta off Fred Waring, the gated country club is low-key and appealing.
Each of the six building clusters centers around a tropical pool and spa, with nice views of the meandering golf course. There are also four hard-surface tennis courts and a clubhouse.
The Ted Robinson Par 3 executive walking course features undulating fairways guarded by strategically located lakes and sand hazards. With 1992 total yards, a 51.8 rating and a 113 slope, the greens challenge both novice and professional golfers. It's a pretty course with lots of scenery and some wonderful views of the nearby Santa Rosa Mountains. I have lots of good memories playing this course over the past 14 years.
