...a little history about The San Mortiz Lodge. Located on the southeast shore of Lake Gregory, sits a private beach and its Tyrolean-styled clubhouse. The original lodge, known as Club San Moritz was actually built in the Valley of the Moon way back in 1926. (There was once a lake there, but it was drained and today the Arrowhead Community Church sits there). A fire in 1950 destroyed the Club San Moritz, and at that time it was decided to rebuild the lodge in Lake Gregory, where is still remains.
Happy Valentine's Day

In the center of Crestline is Lake Gregory Regional Park. The park/lake sits on 126 acres with 2.5 miles of shoreline. At its deepest, the lake is 96 feet. Along the gentle trail you'll find the gated "Pooch Park" and, for my fitness friends, many exercise apparatuses.
We took a little hike around Lake Gregory today, and I snapped a few pictures. It was a quiet day, as it usually is this time of year... after Labor Day.
