LAKE GREGORY REGIONAL PARK is a little alpine jewel in the heart of Crestine, California and is only a few mile down from Lake Arrowhead. Quite often David and I, and our youngest son and his bride, drive down to Crestline so we can take a walk around this sweet little lake.  It's a public lake, open to all, and there really is something for everyone.

 Among these approx. 150 acres, you can fish, swim, boat or, do what we did, stroll around the nearly 3 mile trail. You can rent paddle or row boats (and a engine if you wish) and spend hours on the water. The Boathouse(for rentals) opens the last weekend in April and closes the third weekend in October. There are several beachy beaches that open Memorial Day each year (weather permittig); One on the south side has slides, tons of picnic benches and plenty of shade trees.  The north side is usually the busiest with loads of kids and parents, laying out in the sun or splashing in cool, roped off area of the lake. And there are life guards here!

Saturday, June 13th, 2009, come to the GRAND OPENING OF THE LAKE GREGORY DOG PARK.  Lake Gregory (Crestline) is only a hop-skip-and-a-jump from Lake Arrowhead, so if you're a pooch lover, pop on down and help celebrate the ribbon cutting at 10:00 AM.

Lake Gregory Regional Park is  a public lake for fishing and tiny boats, has a nice sandy beach, swimming area, slides, fitness trail and now the DOG (POOCH) PARK.    The trail (fitness) is a wonderful spot to take your morning or afternoon walk, which takes you completely around the lake... We usually plan our walk just before lunch, then head off to one of the restaurants nearby for a bite to eat.
