Food 4 Less is getting into the fuel business in San Diego county, opening its first local gas station in the parking lot of the Lemon Grove supermarket this week. Food 4 Less-- knows that customers are busy and beleive that their new fuel center will provide one more convenience to the one-stop shopping experience. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday and the company donated $2,500 to Mount Miguel High School.

The company plans to open more fuel stations locally the parent company Kroger which is located in the Midwest is hoping to continue to grow their fuel business in San Diego.

Foods 4 Less--Lemon Grove store at 7420 Broadway, Lemon Grove, California will offer 'high quality gasoline at prices below most competitors". Customers will recive a 10 cent discount per gallon when they spend $100 or more on groceries at Food 4 Less. This is the 21st fuel center in the Food 4 Less chain which began adding them to stores in 2002. Food 4 Less operates 145 warehouse format supermarkets from it headquarters in Los Angeles under the banner Food 4 Less in southern California.
