| Locke Paddon Park, Marina, CA |
![]() |
| Locke Paddon Park in Marina is a "vernal pond", which is a salt marsh. It is one of the few protected wetlands in the county. It is a good bird watching location. I have seen white egrets and great blue herons here. The park also has picnic tables and a walking path around it. Contact the City of Marina Parks & Recreation Department for access and use rules and guidelines: (831) 884-1253. More Info about Marina, CA |

| Marina, California - State Beach |

Who says man was not meant to fly!If you want to go fly a kite, hang glide, parasail - this is the place. You do need to have taken instructions and be certified to fly on this beach. It's also wonderful to watch the flights. This is definitely not a swimming beach because of strong, dangerous riptids though. |
Sunsets at Marina State Beach can be incredible. This is a basically "undiscovered " beach. No big crowds here most of the time. You can walk for miles with only the birds for company. |
