San Jose Raincamp...........Be There or Be Round.............
RainCamp is on Monday. It's actually in the Mountainview area of San Jose.
Lots of good speakers and great information, hints, tips, tools, etc.
Ben Kinney will be there with some good internet info.
I love harassing him after the seminar or during the breaks.
I don't think he still knows me from Adam yet, but it is sort of fun giving him a poke about his Rock-Star status.
If you're on the fence about going, here's a link to register at a promotional donation-based, pay-what-you-can discount:
https://activerain.com/raincamp?prm=kerrielil
There will surely be some fresh information for people to take home and plug in to their machines.
The coolest part of RainCamp is meeting those people you have become cyber-friends with, finally in person.
I wonder of anyone will notice the extra 400 pounds I've put on since my headshot...................

Lots of great activities going on at Mt. View's Shoreline Park! Come early to find a nice parking spot, and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon sure to please both adults and children.
The Shoreline Lake Aquatic Center and Cafe is joining forces with the historic Rengstorff House to bring us the City of Mountain View's first 4h of July Victorian Fashion Promenade. Designed to highlight a local historical gem and the popularity of Victorian and Edwardian fashions, this promises to be a unique and fun way to spend an afternoon at one of the hidden treasures of the Peninsula.
The Aquatic Center and Cafe, just steps away from the Rengstorff House will be hosting a variety of activities, including sailboat rides (with a skipper dressed in Victorian costume) and a chance to purchase a prepared picnic basket. Bike rentals are available as well as an assortment of water sports equipment.
If you'd rather, bring your own picnic to enjoy at a spot of you choosing at this 750-acre park full of natural beauty, and your own bikes, roller blades, running shoes.
For a glimpse of Shoreline Lake on a calmer day here's a little video clip I took a week ago:

One of the treasures tucked away in the heart of the busy Silicon Valley is Shoreline Lake Aquatic Center and Cafe in Mountain View, California. With Google's headquarter campus and the Shoreline Amphitheater only a stone's throw away, Lakeside Cafe provides an oasis of tranquility and relaxation in a natural setting next to a 50-acre lake where one can learn to windsurf, rent a kayak or pedalboat, or jog and bike the surrounding bayside trails.

Not only is the food at Lakeside Cafe delicious and fresh, the ambiance is relaxing and makes a great spot for a casual business meeting, family outing, or solo escape with your favorite book. Lakeside Cafe also caters corporate and private events, either outside on the lawns, or in a room adjacent to the terrace, and the staff is friendly and never rushes one.
