About Newport Beach's Balboa Island

Balboa Island a beautiful location! A summer vacation place. A spot I get to visit often. I love taking walks on the Island and really love to shop here. So this morning my daughter, husband and I took our 3 dogs for a walk. It was beautiful! As usual there were people every where. Our first stop was Starbucks and then we went on to walk along the canal.

Here's a shot of the canal looking out to the Newport Harbor. It's hard to believe that once parcels of land use to cost $250.00 here on Balboa Island. Cottages and Mansions now start $1,300,000 all the way up to $10,000,000. The streets are named after stones: Crystal, Amethyst, Emerald and so on. Parking is not always easy on the Island especially on weekends and holidays.

Homes along the bay front have their own docks and small patches of beach are found between the homes.

This is one of my favorite style of homes. The Plantation Style. There's only a few on the Island and this one is on South Bay front! The best location on Balboa Island.

Home owners are getting ready for Halloween. Holidays are always a big celebration on the Island.

Marine Avenue has many shops, restaurants, and galleries. There's also the Balboa Island museum. All year long there are many fun activities going on the Island. Feel free to contact me for more information on Balboa Island.

Welcome to Balboa Island where everyday is a  vacation day. Living on Balboa Island has many benefits. Some of them are the weather, walking to coffee, lunch, dinner, shopping and exercise. You can get around the Island in a golf cart if you'd like, many of the residents do to avoid parking. You can walk around the Island in 45 minutes.

Many of the residents are full timers but many homeowners have vacation homes here or 2nd homes. It's a great place to raise a family or simply retire! Balboa Island is located in the heart of Newport Beach. Close to the ocean, upscale shopping, and John Wayne airport.

Investing in real estate on the Island is always profitable. After all how many places in California can you live on an Island. Balboa Island is home to many that started here as a vacation destination and decided to stay. Balboa Island real estate has its down cycles but for the most part it's always a marvelous investment. I have not had time to write much about Balboa Island lately. Myself and everyone in my office are very busy. It's spring and interest rates are low and buyers are out shopping. I Love statistics! So today I decided to do a little research on Newport Beach as a whole compared to Balboa Island. Although Balboa Island is a small community in Newport it does have some of the most expensive real estate in Newport.

Although we constantly hear how it's a buyers market and it is. Look at the inventory graph on the Island. Not mamy homes for sale, compared to the rest of the city.
