Boot and Shoe Service One Year Anniversary Party, Oakland CA

It's hard to believe the hot restaurant Boot and Shoe Service has been open for a year already!

About a month ago, I went to have a bite to eat with a friend of mine and had the most amazing crab appetizer amongst other savory dishes. She had been telling me about how awesome the food was and being the foodie she is, I just new I would not be disappointed. The thin crust pizza's with original toppings like wild nettles, potato and leek, and rapini were fantastic, and I was particularly delighted to see their "add on any pizza" menu included an egg--one of my favorite pizza toppings. And if the mouth-watering menu wasn't enough, the small print at the bottom states, "all of our produce, poultry, meat and fish comes from farms, ranches and fisheries guided by principles of sustainability". Truly, what's not to love?

Shortly after, the Boot and Shoe Service celebrated their one year anniversary so I gathered up a few friends and we went back. This time the tables were gone and it was cocktail style. Twenty dollars got you in the door, and in celebration of their year anniversary it was all you could eat and drink. The waitstaff was so generous and the chefs were hard at work. It was such a fun spontaneous night and I have say thank you to the owners and employees of Boot and Shoe Service for opening up your doors for a neighborhood get together to help celebrate your success.

Oakland is becoming the destination for hot new restaurants and with so many to chose from it's events like this and delicious food like yours that will keep us patrons coming back for more. Love the space, love the service and highly recommend to everyone: try it out if you are a fan of places like Pizzaiollo, or if you are new to the Oakland restaurant scene and are looking for a fab place to nosh in the East Bay!
