Where to Ski in Lake Tahoe, California

It’s that time of year, and one of the biggest holiday ski weekends is almost here. While we’ve had fewer snow storms this year, we do have snow. In fact, this past Monday and Wednesday the Lake Tahoe area received more new snow, just in time for everyone to enjoy!

Alpine Meadows Cocktail Party and Fireworks at Squaw Valley, California, New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2011
If you’d like to start your New Year’s Eve off early, check out Alpine Meadows as it hosts it pre- New Year’s Eve Cocktail Party from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., on December 31, 2011. Experience the Torchlight Parade at Squaw Valley, California, December 2011

Happy Holidays Everyone! This year we went to the Torchlight Parade at Squaw Valley, California. It was really cold last night, but this beautiful local holiday tradition was well worth being outside. We really had a great time. The parade started at 6 pm and lasted about 10 minutes. Torchlight Parade at Squaw Valley, California, December 24, 2011

Everyone has their own holiday traditions, and one local Tahoe favorite is to watch the Torchlight Parade at Squaw Valley, California on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2011.
The parade will begin at dusk, 6 pm, but it doesn’t hurt to get there early to get a good spot to watch the ski patrollers carrying their torches down the hill.
Dress warmly as the weather is forecasted to be cold and clear. Get ready for some Tahoe holiday magic!
