The Amgen Tour of California Stage 6 Starting Location has been selected and it’s in Palmdale! Amgen officials have selected Marie Kerr Park as the starting location for Stage 6 of the race, scheduled for Friday, May 18.

The Palmdale DryTown water park is Great Family Fun and it is close-by and reasonable! Now you can climb to the top of the 3 stories high DryTown mining shaft and hit the rushing rivers slides of water offering thrills of a lifetime! You’ll begin your slick fall down The Devil's Punch Bowl, Rattler's Revenge or The Wildcatter, splashing, twisting and careening at speeds up to 30 mph … the ultimate in excitement and fun!

Thursday Night on the Square is held on eight consecutive Thursday evenings each summer. Guests enjoy lively music, enticing food, free kids activities and an open air market featuring specialty items. Please join us for the summer of 2012 for eight weeks of family fun!

At the annual Keller Williams Realty Convention FAMILY REUNION in Florida this year Keller William’s CEO Mark Willis shared some interesting directions KW is heading.

The first Keller Williams Realty franchise overseas – KW Vietnam, and Chris Heller, president of KW Worldwide announced the launch. “As we began looking for opportunities to expand outside the U.S. and Canada, our primary goal was always to find the right leadership first. We know that Paul Mason [the new president of KW Vietnam], along with the other leaders we are partnering with, share our belief system and our commitment to grow the Keller Williams culture,” said Heller. He also announced that the company was in varying stages with potential franchisees in additional countries including South Africa, New Zealand, Indonesia, Egypt and several other Middle Eastern countries.

National Mortgage Settlement, What this means to you.

Homeowners in need of a loan modification including first and second lien principal reduction if they qualify could see their principal cut by around $20,000. The servicers have up to $17 billion in principal reduction and other forms of loan modification relief nationwide. And with only these banks participating Ally/GMAC, Bank of America, Citi, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo your loan must be with one of them and not owned by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac to participate in the program.

Borrowers who are current but underwater will be able to refinance at today’s historically low interest rates. Servicers will have to provide up to $3 billion in refinancing relief nationwide, the average payout is around $20,000 we hear.

This will take some time to implement over the next 30 to 60 days negotiators will be selecting an administrator to handle the how-to and supervising the process; we don’t want the banks to pull anymore shenanigans.

Within the next 6 to 9 months the settlement administrator, attorneys general and the mortgage servicers will work to identify homeowners eligible for the immediate cash payments, principal reductions and refinancing. Those eligible will receive letters. The entire settlement will be happing over the next three years.

PALMDALE - The City of Palmdale’s South Antelope Valley Emergency Services (SAVES) food and shelter program received a generous donation of $10,000 from Yard House restaurants as part of the Round It Up America® program. The check was presented by Yard House Manager Gil Vance and accepted by SAVES Coordinator Patricia Morales, and Palmdale Mayor Jim Ledford. Yard House corporate donated $5,000 and the Palmdale Yard House matched it bringing the total to $10,000.

“The generosity of Yard House and its customers is nothing short of amazing,” said SAVES Coordinator Patricia Morales. “Through their kindness, families in need in the South Antelope Valley will receive essential services to help them through difficult times.”

“Yard House is a model example of an organization coming into a community and making a difference not only through its exceptional food and service, but in giving back,” said Palmdale Mayor Jim Ledford. “Our residents, too, have shown where their hearts are by graciously ‘rounding up’ their bills for this worthwhile cause.”
