The Delhi Commonwealth games 2010 will be hosted by India in the capital city of Delhi from October 3rd - October 14th. India is doing really hard for the success of commonwealth games which will later give boost to India Travel Industry.

Preparations Commonwealth Games 2010

India Olympic Organization is responsible for the organization and participation of competitors in the Olympic Games as well as in events such as the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games. Suresh Kalmadi, President of the Olympic Association of India, will be head of the organizing committee specially appointed for the games. On 26th March 2006, advertising campaigns for the commonwealth games were started. Mayor of Melbourne transfer the flag to Delhi Mayor during the organized campaign.

Large Number stadiums are being built to host this event. There are numerous other plans plan comprises construction of new roads, new hotels, power plants and flyovers. Transport system of Delhi will also be improved which includes new buses, construction of Metro track which will cover Commonwealth games village area. Exclusive commonwealth Games village is also build in the center of city close to Akshardham temple and I.P estate. Around 8500 athletes will arrive India during this time.
