Let's add some value

Tom Arstingstall - Dry Rot, Water Damage General Contractor in Sacramento: Builder-Contractor in Placerville, CA
You gotta love this kitchen if you are a general contractor or a homeowner willing to make some changes. Changes that will greatly improve the value of your home, be more efficient, and more modern and up-to-date. It would be hard to spruce up this kitchen.

Why? Because it is all old and outdated.

I'm not saying that you have to make any changes, maybe you are okay with it the way it is. But if you are a general contractor, your eyes are tearing up with joy. This baby is being demolished. A clean slate, where the owners can have whatever they wish. Counters, cabinets, appliances all must come out. Plumbing, electrical, flooring too. Let's make this kitchen sparkle!

But wont that be expensive? It will cost a lot of money, but its money that will go directly to the value of your home. Think of it as "flipping" a home but you get to live in it.

Can we do it on a budget? You can set any amount that you wish. I wouldn't go with the super-cheap idea. You would probably regret it later on. But yeah a budget makes a lot of sense. This small kitchen will at value to the home when complete. Overspending does not make sense. There is a budget range for all kitchens, stay within the range.

Know anybody with a kitchen like this?
I'd love to talk to them.

Speechless Sunday (Almost) - Bridal Veil Falls, Lake Tahoe

Chris Alston (Silicon Valley, California): Real Estate Brokerage in Cupertino, CA

Traveling down Highway 50, West bound, away from Lake Tahoe stops you at a majestic site, Bridal Veil Falls. When it is in winter and even better during the snow melt, it can really roar. We were passing and saw that the Bridal Veil was showing, so I had to stop on the side of the road and snap this picture...

Seeing Bridal Veil Falls in the winter...

Now if you look closely at the trees, you can see ghost images of duplicate limps. That is because the actual waterfall is over 150 feet high. So I took this picture with my iPhone, and auto stitched it together with an app from the iTunes store. I took about 12 pictures, then chose all 12 and the program matched the picture to create the awesome shot. You cannot capture the whole falls in one shot, so the program worked great! It does it in a matter of seconds, on your iPhone.

It is located on Esmeralda Creek, in Pollack Pines, in the El Dorado National Forest in El Dorado County.

Next time you are driving to Tahoe from the California side, make it a point to stop. Easy parking, and great place for pictures. parking is in a large turnout (paved) on the side of the road.
