Wow, another week of excitement. Wild winds, no power, and no fires. However, the flight in the windstorm was crazy, the tail winds were so fast that the plane never stopped shaking. The temperatures in SoCal are so bad, that in the high desert, the temperature is 16F degrees. Anyway, it is definitely feeling like a Christmas, the only thing missing is the snow on the beach???? Well anyway, the good news is that the Chirstmas spirit is alive and well. Tomorrow is 2 hours first thing in the morning at church, wrapping gifts for the less fortunate. I have just cleaned out one home, donating $1000's of dollars worth of possessions that I have collected over 10 years. I have now learned that possessions are junk and what really counts is spirit and love. I always knew that but now I have had the opportunity to experience it. Thank goodness for charities. Thank goodness for those youngins that are learning to recycle and reuse, rather than throw away and discard. Where did we get the idea that everything old was useless and we should just throw it away. Well, the New Year is around the corner, and I am excited about what it will bring. Merry Christmas to all.

I was sorting my photos today in anticipation of getting a new computer soon. The sorting and organizing revealed some interesting photos I have yet to use on my various blogs.
I'm sure the beaches were fairly deserted today after yesterday's rains ushered in a cold front. However, there will still be walkers and runners on the beach even on the coldest days. And sometimes I'm one of them. Years ago I received a big yellow slicker and now have no excuse for not walking on rainy days.
The lifeguard shack photo was taken by my son and it captures the endless blue water of the Pacific, the sandy beach and the colorful shack on a summer day in coastal California.
The winter is wonderful time to enjoy the uncrowded beaches in coastal California and it is also a favorable time to purchase real estate. Spring fever is still a few months away, and sellers are often in a negotiating mood as the old year draws to a close and the new one looms near.

Today I did the first of a series of radio shows on the internet called "Staging with Pia". It was terrible. They set me up up with one interviewer, and then at the last moment put me on the air with another person that was not as exciting.
Oh well, not worth worrying about. The information is the same and life is to short to be upset. Live is always interesting. Much better than talking off the cuff.
Happy Days and as my Feng Shui Master told me yesterday, always harness the good energy and let the bad energy go.

Have you noticed lately how quickly people are willing to lower their sales price, but are still not taking advantage of Home Staging. Home staging is the latest thing to be getting properties noticed and sold before others in the same market. The science behind home staging and the practice of home stagers that are certified by RESA and CSP (Certified Home Staging) is not just a vase here and there but much more. It usually only costs a couple thousand, and the property usually sells before the agent comes back with a drop of $10k because the market is not selling. All these statistics show what happens behind the scenes and what sellers are not told about. If you are an agent, and you truly want to give your sellers an advantage, you should be using a Stager. If you are an agent, and you think you know the purpose and science of staging, call your local Home Stager to present to the other agents in your office, what the advantages are, and if you are an agent and you don't already use a Certified Stager, go ahead and try one. We can all offer better customer service than we have in the past, and improving all the time to be the best comes with more practice, and more practice, and even more practice.
