I'm out of almonds. Yes I know, I live in Ripon CA. There should be an unlimited supply at every house
here since we live in the Almond Capital of the Country. I've decided today that I am not buying pre-packaged almonds from Costco anymore. I just ordered my first order of almonds online. So cool. 4th Generation gives you almond information & tips too.
I know it sounds like fun which is why I am sharing with you. The really super cool thing is that if you are not from Ripon, CA, you can order these almonds & have them shipped to you. You can even pay by paypal. That's super fun.
I personally selected the local willcall option since the Boersma's just live a few houses away from me. You can read about this sweet family and their personal values. 4th Generation Farms is awesome name which reflects all generations involved in their almond business. Their son, Caleb, is one of my son's best friend. They are the best neighbors & we feel so blessed to have them in our circle of friends.

Vermeulen Estates is a cozy little community in Ripon, CA.
It's north of 99 & south of 120. It's park is of course named Vermeulen Park. (Surprise!!) The playground just had new bark put in this last summer. When you drove by the park for that week or so last year, it smelled like someone was sharpening their pencil (brought me back to elementary school days). There are 3 swings (a baby one too). It has this spiderman metal cone/rocket ship thing to climb up. A Spiral slide isMay part of this jungle gym play structure. Our kids love to see how many can fit on that slide without sliding down.
Walking your dog around this park is super popular. It does tend to drive any puppy crazy with smells of other dogs. I love it when dog owners carry their own little doggy poop baggy (very responsible). I'm one of those kind of owners myself. I dream of the park having a couple "dog poop cleanup stations" someday. It's so possible. Maybe that would encourage those that forget to help out.

It is a popular place for couples & friends to walk around & get that exercise in. It's a new year too & possibly this will help those complete their new years resolution. If you go three full times around the park it is approx. One Mile. If the tree lined park had ears we would probably be able to say that Vermeulen Park knows too much & we would have to give it Top Secret clearance. I have a feeling that lots of neighbors have solved the worlds problems walking there (or maybe at least their own family issues getting resolved).
The baseball diamond is like something out of an old fashioned movie. It reminds me of Sandlot or at least that's what kind of neighborhood kids will play there. There is a backstop, dirt on the infield & grass everywhere else. The outfield just goes forever (not a defined homerun fence). It's perfect for a Ripon Babe Ruth team to come have an organized practice (which my son has done many times.) You don't have to reserve it, it all first come, first serve basis.
The picnic bench area has a gazebo type awning over it & is situated right next to the playground. On most everyday in the summer you will catch parents lounging around at the picnic area while their kids are running all over. Those adults really enjoy catching up with each other & what a great place to do it at Vermeulen Park in Ripon, CA.
If you haven't come to Vermeulen Park in Ripon CA, you might want to get it on your schedule. Bring your dog (& a poopy bag too). Bring your kids, family or just yourself. It's missing a bathroom, so make sure you have the family go potty before they come to play.
