WARNING: PLAGUE OF DAYTIME BURGLARIES IN ROSEVILLE

Tina Farinas REALTOR, ABR, GRI, SFR, CHS, e-PRO: Real Estate Agent in Roseville, CA

Please be careful out there. There has been numerous "DAYTIME" burglaries that have plague the Roseville area. These burglers are tageting homes throughout Roseville, ringing the doorbell first and breaking in when no one answers the doorbell.

The most recent one just happened yesterday at 12:15PM on Fifteen Mile Drive. The homeowner was upstairs when the doorbell rang, then heard a window breaking. She encountered the burglar in her house as she heads downstairs scaring the would-be burglar. This is not very far away from my place of residence. Since these burglars are braving "DAYTIME" to do their misdeed, here are some suggestions to ward them away.

  1. Make your presence known, if you are home. You don't have to open the door. They are threaten by commotions from the inside.
  2. If someone knocks or ring your doorbell and they look suspicious, call the Police. Make mental note of their appearance when calling authority.
  3. Most of these burglars will enter through your side gate to the backyard, If you have a guard dog, leave them out. This will scare them away.

Today's market is filled with homes for sale. There are a lot of first-time buyers ready to take the plunge as a "homeowner". When you do find that special place you want to call "home", consider these before making an offer...

First, determine how much home you can afford. In general, you can afford a home equal in price to three times your gross annual income. But to be precise - the price of a home you can afford to pay is dependent on six important factors:

  1. Your income

  2. The amount of cash you have available for down payment, closing costs, and cash reserves required by the Lender.

  3. Your outstanding debts

  4. Your credit history

  5. The type of mortgage you select AND

  6. Current interest rates

The process of buying a home is much easier if you start out by getting a pre-qualified or even pre-approved with your lender for a home loan. The pre-qualification and pre-approval letters will let you know how much home you can buy, and makes YOU a credible buyer.
