There is nothing like delivering the keys to a first time homebuyer. Visions of patio parties, joyous painting weekends, and spring tulips have not yet been replaced by the reality of weed control, air conditioning repairmen and taxes.
Twenty-somethings buying their first home, in particular, warm my heart. I love that they are ready to jump into the mainstream of society... good job, now a home, next a dog... buying a piece of the rock!
Mike bought his first home from me in McKinley Park, a quaint neighborhood of vintage bungalows in downtown Sacramento. Here's what he had to say at our walk-through....

I am a big fan of pizza, especially thin crust Margherita style.
Today my wife and I stopped in at OneSpeed Pizza
.We both enjoyed the salads, Chopped Salad and a Mixed Greens. If you get the mixed greens get it with the goat cheese and hazelnuts.
The pizza was right out of Rome. A single serving is what you get, although it can feed two when you get the salads. Very tasty.
This new restaurant serves lunch and dinner Tu-Sun 11:30 am to 10 pm (9 pm on Sunday). They are located in the heart of McKinley Park in Sacramento at 4818 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95819. 916-706-1748.
The owner is Rick Mahan who also operates The Waterboy in downtown Sacramento.
One thing I do not understand is the name. It has something to do with bikes, probably slow ones that only have one speed.
If you like pizza and salad, check it out.
