The 2010 MCAS Miramar Air Show:
Size Does Matter! 

They (who are "they"?) say that size doesn't matter, but when it comes to the United States Air Force, size does matter:

The C-5 Galaxy is a monster plane, and it was open front and back so that we could walk through it:

The C-5 Galaxy is built by Lockheed, the first one in 1968 coming from the Lockheed plant in Marietta, Georgia. It has been in the United States Air Force since 1969 and is one of the largest military aircraft in the world. This one had been flown down to MCAS Miramar for the air show but it is stationed at the March Air Reserve Base up in Riverside, California. The C-5 Galaxy weighs 550,000 pounds, carries up to 180,000 pounds of cargo, and flies up to 500 mph.

2010 MCAS Miramar Air Show

The annual MCAS Miramar Air Show takes place in just a couple of weeks, October 1-3. This year is celebrating the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima with a theme of Marines: A Tradition of Uncommon Valor.

Cost is always free although you can get preferred seating and various special packages for anywhere from $8.50 to $195. Gates open daily at 8:00 a.m., although I highly suggest getting there earlier because there will be a line of cars waiting to get in.

The 2007 Miramar Air Show was voted the World's Best Military Air Show by the International Council of Air Shows. This year's show will feature the Navy's Blue Angels and the Canadian Snowbirds, two of the best precision flying teams.

As I said previously, get there early because this is one of San Diego's premier events with several hundred thousands of people attending.

What is a Loan Modification?

A Loan Modification is a permanent change in one or more of the terms of your loan. The purpose of a loan modification is to allow the borrower to meet the new loan modification terms, allowing them to prevent foreclosure. A loan modification is not a refinance; it is the restructuring of the loan terms.
