Here some wonderful photographs that I took several days ago on my visit to the Golden Gate Bridge. This photo (above) was taken ... yes very quickly through the windshield of my car ...
Here is another photograph (above) taken from the East Side of the Bridge with the San Francisco Bay on the left hand side. If you look close there are some white boxed walls where construction workers were doing some construction on the bridge.
Here is a very interesting photo (above) showing just how wide the cables are the hold the Golden Gate Bridge together
Here is another interesting photograph (above) showing the height of the Golden Gate Bridge, and as I was taking these photographs I couldn't help but notice that the bridge wasn't (GOLD) ... but iron red.
Another photo (above) from the West Side of the bridge with San Francisco on the left ...
And here is the last photo with tourists viewing San Francisco from Marin County on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge ...

Here is a short video that I took of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco and the Oakland Bay Bridge.
I spent several days in The Bay Area around San Francisco, San Jose, Hayward and I even drove to Half Moon Bay only 30 minutes south of San Francisco. My visit to the The Bay Area was Business related and I may be working in The Bay Area by April of 2012. How long will I be working in The Bay Area? Well ... possibly for 4-5 years ...
I will be sharing more information on my business within The Bay Area in the future ... ;o)

Why Living in the San Francisco area is so great - Reason #6
Golden Gate Park
People all over the country (and the world) know of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The Music Concourse, Japanese Tea Garden, Academy of Sciences, deYoung Museum, Stow Lake and the botanical gardens are visited by thousands on a daily basis. However, not many people know the numerous little paths and out-of-the-way places tucked into this treasured park.
We love to explore our city and a recent hike through the park, from the Panhandle at the eastern edge to the ocean at the west, took us through in a number of the hidden glens and lesser-seen sights, and gave us plenty of solitude in the midst of a vibrant city.
Enjoy the tour!

Golden Gate Park.
Good grief...where do I start? For now, let's just say that 'GG' Park receives over 13 million visitors annually, and is the third most visited city park in the United States after Central Park in New York and Lincoln Park in Chicago. My Grandparents lived half a block away on 28th Avenue & Fulton, and when I was a kid, my Dad and I would often go for walks to the polo field and (of course) the stables. He rides 'western' and there were times my Mother wondered who he loved more: Her or the Horse. So far, she's outlasted all the horses. ;-)
You're about to take a unique ride along JFK Drive which begins near the Stanyan Street entrance and ends at the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy... (friends in Germany who are blocked by copyright laws can go here to watch and hear the video as it was intended: http://gallery.me.com/davidpames#100061)

We hadn't been to the Japanese Tea Garden for about 20 years and when friends came to visit from Canada in January...the Japanese Tea Garden is the oldest public Japanese garden in the United Stated located inside Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California.
Since they came to California to see our sights We decided to take them there to have a cup of tea and cookies in the garden. It was great fun, relaxing to stroll the walkways, sit and look at the water features in various places and of course the amazing architecture and beautiful flowers. See for yourself, and if you haven't been for a while, a day off in the City (SF of course) is a nice outing... Sometimes we take for granted what is right here for us to enjoy.
