We had a dinner party for some new neighbors that moved in - Pay It Forward

We had a very nice couple that moved into our neighborhood recently. We've wanted to welcome them to the block and we've been trying to have them over for dinner for the longest time.

Well, we finally had them over and we cooked a great fish dinner on the BBQ grill, with summer corn on the cob, a fresh spring mix salad with raspberry and peach vinagrette dressing.

A few days later we got the funniest hand drawn thank you poster with characatures of all 4 of us having dinner that our new neighbor Joanne drew. It's hilarious!

They were so gracious and thankful that now they want to take us out to a Mexican restaurant that they discovered.

Her husband Don also helped us water our landscaping while we were out of town for a few days.

It really is so priceless to have good neighbors.

31 Days of December Challenge - Update 12/20/10

My partner and I have big plans for mailers in 2011. We're actually going to start farming. Can you believe that I've never had a farm my whole time in real estate? Shame on me!!

Anyway, I shopped it around and found a vendor that would do 1,000 full color notepads for $195.00. 20 sheets per pad.

I ordered them a couple of weeks ago and they should arrive in the next couple of days.

This will be for February's farming, which we will actually WALK instead of mail.

We figured by walking, you never know. You'll probably catch someone watering their lawn, walking their dog, taking out the trash, etc., who may just want to ask you a question.

Hey, that's another blog in itself - farming techniques!

Here's what our California Sunset Team pads will look like:
