Saratoga Woods is the neighborhood of about 400 homes bounded by Saratoga Creek and Saratoga Ave., and between Cox Ave. and Prospect High School. Many of the homes were built by George Day nearly 50 years ago, but there are also newer homes in the Northern portion of the neighborhood close to Prospect High School. Homes are generally one-story California Ranch Style homes and most often they're impeccably maintained. The subdivision is located in the Moreland Elementary School District and very close to major regional malls including Westgate, Westgate West and El Paseo de Saratoga. More than 50 retail businesses, restaurants, movie theaters are within one or two miles.

Saratoga Woods has a voluntary Cabana Club with large, well-maintained swimming pools. The Cabana is located at 12341 Saratoga Creek Drive. There is also a voluntary neighborhood association.

A summer treat in Saratoga Woods are Fresh Strawberries sold on Saratoga Ave near Mellon Drive. Freshly picked daily.
