Silverado Canyon is a peaceful, unincorporated community in Orange County and is considered a California Historical Landmark. The name Silverado comes from the fact that the canyons were once home to several silver mines. The tight-knit community still retains very much of it's early mining town look and feel with the only difference being the inevitable, but slow rise in population and urbanization. A market, a few shops, firestations, a library, a school, a church, and restaurants sit as the spots to go for resources and socializing. The owners and members of these few areas within the canyon act as family and all know eachother. It's the neighborly love and family-like attitude mixed with natural beauty that makes the Canyon so special. The feeling one gets from being within the Canyon is one of freedom, one that paints a picture of a past America, a time when things were simpler.
