Silverado Canyon is a peaceful, unincorporated community in Orange County and is considered a California Historical Landmark. The name Silverado comes from the fact that the canyons were once home to several silver mines. The tight-knit community still retains very much of it's early mining town look and feel with the only difference being the inevitable, but slow rise in population and urbanization. A market, a few shops, firestations, a library, a school, a church, and restaurants sit as the spots to go for resources and socializing. The owners and members of these few areas within the canyon act as family and all know eachother. It's the neighborly love and family-like attitude mixed with natural beauty that makes the Canyon so special. The feeling one gets from being within the Canyon is one of freedom, one that paints a picture of a past America, a time when things were simpler.

Recreational activities in Silverado Canyon include but are not limited to: Hiking, Mountain Bike Riding, Motorcycling, Horseback Riding, Off Roading and with Irvine Lake just minutes down the road other activities such as camping, fishing, boating are also very popular amongst locals and visitors!
Looking to entertain or have a wedding? Rancho Las Lomas is perfect, beautiful place to host a party!

Silverado Canyon is one of the few (if only) places left in Orange County where you can be outside of the hustle & bustle, fast-paced lifestyle yet still be a drive-down-the-road away from it all. The beaches, airport, and shopping centers are all less than 30 minutes away - but you wouldn't know it being in the heart of Silverado Canyon. A place rich with interesting history (a home to artists, actors, and craftsmen in the early 1900s) and interesting people that needs to be experienced by all who are in or visit the Southern California area. More and more people are recognizing Silverado and with the Irvine Company building new homes in the surrounding areas it is going to gain more exposure and wealth.
