Choosing the right real estate agent to Sell your home

In June of 2010 fellow agent listed a home for sale in Visalia, CA for one of his neighbors.

They were undergoing financial difficulties and were unable to make their mortgage payments. No longer being able to afford a home they decided to list the property as a short sale. They decided to relocate elsewhere knowing that eventually they would end up moving. I believe they moved out of Visalia into some other city here in California, somewhere in LA county.

The home was listed. Price was set. The homeowners were on the path to avoid foreclosure. Necessary documents had been gathered. Days later the agent recieved a call. The homeowners decided to list the home with their nephew, not a real estate agent in Visalia but somewhere in Los Angeles County. The only issue is the nephew lived hours away, is unfamiliar with our local real estate market in Visalia CA, and he is not a member of the local Tulare County MLS.

It's August and the property is not in the MLS. I reviewed the neighborhood listings and sales and that listing is not there. I hope they can short sale and avoid foreclosure.

This property will most likely end up as another Foreclosure in Visalia, something that could have been avoided.

Homeowners don't make that mistake. Avoid foreclosure and use a local real estate agent like myself to properly market and sell your home. Dont risk a short sale by using an out of town agent that can't properly market your home.
