Patty Jewett golf course has been open for play continuously since 1898, making it one of the oldest courses in the United States; the third oldest public golf course west of the Mississippi to be exact. The entrance sets the elegant mood, complete with a wonderful wrought-iron gate and a drive down a narrow road lined with a canopy of 100-year old trees. Patty Jewett’s is a 27-hole course (18 is par 72, with a seperate 9 hole course) each with amazing views of Pikes Peak.

Before heading out to the links, warm up at Patty’s driving range and putting green. If you are feeling particularly rusty, Patty Jewett offers group and indiviudal lesson programs for adults and children. For those who do not wish to walk the entire course, cart rentals are available, and for those new to the sport or flying in, the club also rents golf clubs. They might even be better than what you are lugging around!

After your round of play, cool down with a refreshing drink at the club’s patio with expansive views of Pikes Peak, or grab some grub from the grill. The full-service clubhouse has a banquet facility with top-notch service for those special events or corporate gatherings. The clubhouse is known to attract those who simply want a good meal (breakfast is one of them) in a great setting. Come by and grab a bite even if golf is not your favorite past time.

The houses surrounding the Patty Jewett golf course are unique. Not one is like the other, which makes it a wonderful neighborhood to drive through and live in. Large 100+ year old trees line the streets, which is a true rarity east of the golf course. Homes in this area range from $150,000 and up. Many houses in this area have gone through updates in the last 15 years or so, some never. There are gems to be found in this area.

The Patty Jewett housing market continues to be a NEUTRAL Market, as there is currently a6 month of supply of homes on the market.   A 6 month supply of houses on the market is considered a "NEUTRAL MARKET".   Sales units decreased 57% from 2009 to 2008, and pricing was down 8% from 2009 to 2008.    Price per square foot also continued to decrease from 2009 to 2008, from $146.00 per square feet to $141.00 per square foot.

The Central part of Colorado Springs housing market continues to be a NEUTRAL Market, as there is currently a 5.66 month of supply of homes on the market. A 6 month supply of houses on the market is considered a "NEUTRAL MARKET". Sales were only down 16% from 2008 to 2007, but average pricing was down 5% from 2007 to 2008. 473 houses have been sold in 2009 vs. 483 that were sold during the same period in 2008, a 3% decline.
