You will never have to pay to be listed as a top neighbor. Period. That important detail clarified, let's discuss how we arrive at two "top neighbors" for a given region:
Localism is a bustling collection of hyper-local communities, and the top neighbors should reflect those members who are most active. When ranking users in a given region, several factors are considered. To get your foot in the proverbial door, you need to have posted at least one "Localism" article or photo for the region.
The very best way to quickly rise to #1 is to post high-quality local content. Keeping a steady strem of incoming posts and photos will massively tilt the scales in your favor.
What doesn't count toward the top neighbor ranking? ActiveRain points and community sponsorships. The top neighbor spots will always go to the most active members in a region. We want to create a level playing field that encourages the growth of communities — talent and dedication are required to win the day.
Coach Mic is doing a great job and working hard to make sure the girls are ready. The girls can really practice in style this year, since the public courts were resurfaced. This was a project funded by Colorado Lottery dollars.
Already there have been numerous avalanche related deaths across the state, including a snowboarder in the Telluride area. (This is a favorite spot for snowmobilers).
On this particular day the elk were playing it cool away from the road. But the buffalo are also really something to see. Dave and Sue Whittlesey own High Wire Ranch and have been raising buffalo since 1981 and elk since 1987. All of the animals are grass fed and no hormones or antibiotics are used...so the meat is all natural. And pretty tasty, too. That's Linda, on the right, and Karen. Dinner was potluck style and the food was just wonderful. My husband is one of the chefs and today he made roasted duck and smoked salmon. Now the big question is who will host next week's game. GO BRONCOS!!!!
Today was a record day for UPS and the packages that were delivered to our house. I think our cats are getting a lot of enjoyment and use from the packaging material. Loki is the big white. He was a rescue from a bank owned listing I had 1.5 years ago. We bottle fed him. Little Buddy was rescued in our county, but found about six months ago at an adoption center in another county. He was rescued from Delta County where we found big white. Could they be related?
