I’m well aware that the economy isn’t doing so well. People are worried. People are losing their jobs. I know I know I know. But as cruel as it seems, downturns are sometimes the best times to get ahead. The Vail market is doing fine, in the context of the rest of the Nation. We are still going strong. People still want to ski, and there is only one Vail mountain. But that being said, there is more real estate inventory on the market now than at any time in recent memory.
This means that in Vail, it is a buyer’s market. Prices have softened up, some. But even without the softening, you, Mr. or Ms. Buyer, are in the driver’s seat. You have your choice of some pretty amazing homes.
If you have ever dreamed of owning a piece of Vail, now is the best time. You should give me a call, make plane reservations, and come on out. Not only will we get to see some incredible properties, we can also ski on the entire Frontside of Vail Mountain. Great Skiing for early December.
I can show you a new construction penthouse condo that is listed under the developer’s price. I can show you a “compound” with a seller who is willing to discount millions.
Vail is waiting for you. I’m waiting for you. Your family wants to spend this holiday season in your new ski home. If you call now......YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Thanksgiving is over and in my humble opinion was a success. Seemed like a normal Thanksgiving. I couldn’t tell that the sky was falling all around. But that is probably due to the fact that the snow which was falling blinded me from the greater realities. Snow has a way of doing that, especially when you live in a ski town. Vail is our refuge, a shelter from the storm. We are sheltered here from the everyday, real world storms, by the snow storms (which we are supposed to get again tomorrow).
Snow has a way of making everything good. One thing I noticed immediately when I moved here was that the first thing out of local’s mouths is, “it’s all good.” What a great sentiment. It is all good here in Vail. Even with the minor and major issues we face. Vail keeps things in perspective, and that is the secret to its success.
The mountain is big, very big, and we are small, very small. Even if in your day to day life you are larger than life....when you come to Vail you are put in your place. Not in a violent, jarring way, but in a gentle, falling into a pile of powder way.
It’s all good. Come visit.

Disclaimer: This is all anecdotal opinion.
The snow is here in earnest. This is a fact not opinion. Snow brings skiers and skiers are our bread and butter here in Vail. We love our guests. Please come to Vail the skiing is great. The mountain has opened up at least 500 acres today. The rest of the Mountain will open as the snow continues to fall.
Just speaking for me personally, I was a little worried about this season. As you might have heard the economy isn't doing so well. But I remained guarded but optimistic. Then the real doom and gloom started. The sky is falling, the sky is falling. Well now the only thing falling out of the sky is snow, and that makes me feel good.
When I walk down Bridge Street I see a typical Thanksgiving crowd. I see the shops crowded. Granted I don't know if they are buying, but at least they are in the shops. When I went to the coffee shop yesterday I had to wait in line. This year I will be thankful for all the lines I have to wait in.
So what is the point here? We'll the sky isn't falling. Vail is still Vail. The only difference is that the Real Estate market has tons of inventory. This is a buyer's market. The prices have softened a bit, but basically you will have your choice of amazing vacation homes, in the best ski town in the Rockies.
Give me a call and I'll give you all the inside information about our incredible town. Operators are standing by....970-331-5821.

Wow, Basalt is the happening place in the Roaring Fork Valley! If you are looking to invest your money, this is where you should buy. There are currently 68 condos, townhomes and duplexes for sale and 59 of those are priced under one million dollars! The average price per square foot is around $400. There are 50 single family homes for sale right now with an average price per square foot of about the same, $400. There are alot of great deals out there, I would be happy to help anyone who has an interest in investing in the hot spot of the valley. Give me a call, I can help!
