MetroBrokersTV: I am Amy Chase with Metro Brokers TV and I am here today with Laura Champe out of the Summit office. Laura, welcome.

Laura Champe: Thank you.

MetroBrokersTV: So, tell me a little bit about business in Summit County, Colorado. How are things going for you?

Laura Champe: Pretty well actually. Our business, our market is stronger than in a lot of places in the country. So, we are pretty happy to be where we are.

MetroBrokersTV: So, tell me a little bit about who your client base is. Where are you generating your leads? Who are your buyers? Who are your sellers? Tell me more about that.

Laura Champe: A lot of what we do is second home sales, about 70% of Summit County real estate is owned by somebody who does not live in it. There are a lot of vacationers, weekenders, retirees living there part time and the majority of those folks are Colorado residents. We do get people from other states obviously, but a good percentage of our second home owners are people from the Front Range.

MetroBrokersTV: Terrific. So, if I had to guess, I am guessing that Metro Brokers brand and name recognition really is significant for you in capturing that business up in Summit County.

Laura Champe: That is true. Denver people, Boulder people, they recognize the sign, the logos, so, I think they are more willing to just stop into our office and come in and chat because they feel they already know us.

After rapidly lowering for the last several weeks to make room for snow runoff, water levels in Dillon Reservoir in Summit County Colorado will begin to rise again this week.

Denver Water announced Thursday that it's dropping outflow to the Lower Blue from 800 to 500 cubic feet per second.

The main reason for the change is that the runoff from the South Platte drainage has been considerably less than projected. The snow seems to be melting at a slower pace than originaly anticipated.

Denver water has reported that as a result it may have to bring more water through the Roberts tunnel than previously thought.

The change will improve fly-fishing conditions in the Blue River below the dam and bring water levels up at the Frisco marina.

Local outfitters said the decreased outflow won't affect commercial rafting trips on the Lower Blue.
