The name Bear Mountain conjures up images of the wild frontier and roughing it in the mountains, but the reality is that Bear Mountain offers one of the best South Evergreen locations with easy access to Denver and proximity to downtown Evergreen.

One of the best things about Homes in Bear Mountain is that views are to be had from almost every location. On the Evergreen side are panoramic views of Mount Evans and Evergreen Lake, and on the other side are views of the city lights of Denver.

Downtown Evergreen is just a short jaunt down Little Cub Creek Road, with easy access to Evergreen Lake and other central Evergreen events. The close proximity of Evergreen High School and the library are also nice things about the location of Homes in Bear Mountain. Not only that, but Denver, and more specifically Morrison and Littleton, are easily accessed through a back route "down the hill."

Many Homes in Bear Mountain sit on larger lots, with many over an acre, adding to privacy and the feeling of being a part of nature. Some horse properties also highlight the area, and the area is not densely built up.

Despite the close proximity to Denver, Homes in Bear Mountain feel like they are deep in the mountains, and wildlife including foxes, elk, deer, and (yes) bears, can be seen in the area.

Homes in Bear Mountain do have a small HOA which doesn't exercise any authority over what home owners do with their properties, but provides social functions and a central voice to it's members.

One other nice feature of the area is that Homes in Bear Mountain are very affordable, and bargains can be found. Luxury lots with spectacular homes and views can also be found in the area.

Evergreen offers Colorado mountain living at its finest, making it possible to enjoy mountain living yet still commute into the city to work and play. Bear Mountain Vista is an Evergreen community which personifies this mountain living, with sweeping views and a stunning environment. Bear Mountain Vista is located up Little Cub Creek Road (across from the fire station on Highway 73 just a few hundred feet south of downtown, then left on Stanley Park Road. If you miss the left you'll end up in Cub Creek Ranches, Otherwise you'll begin the climb up Bear Mountain. This is one of the best commutes anywhere! Bear Mountain offers a variety of incredible homes on a wide range of real estate. The majority of the homes on Bear Mountain have spectacular views, seated on Bear Mountain, looking at Mount Evans, the rugged landscape of the Continental Divide and over downtown Evergreen, in fact some properties even have multiple horizon views over Denver. Many of the homes in Bear Mountain Vista are newer homes representing both modern and classic mountain architecture, most of which are over 4,000 square feet. Some of the nicest homes in Evergreen are located in the Bear Mountain Vista area, and the majority of lots are over two acres in size. Beyond the luxury estates on Bear Mountain there are also many horse properties, even some on the smaller scale on just a few acres. Some of the homes on Edelweiss were previously weekend summer camp style small cabins which have since been remodeled. Bear Mountain is a wonderful community to live in. The area is filled with wildlife, nature and recreational opportunities to enjoy your surroundings. Be aware though, the namesake wildlife, bears do live on Bear Mountain! My wife and I learned quickly to only bring our trash out the morning of pickup! With an active home owners association Bear Mountain Vista is a community to be involved in and get to know your neighbors while at the same time allowing its residents all of the privacy they are looking for in mountain living, a small community with a comfortable feel.
