Green Oaks is a very desirable neighborhood in Greenwood Village, and is located on the west side of Greenwood Village at Orchard and University and runs both north and west. It has become an extremely popular area for those working in the Denver Tech Center with its very close proximity to many Denver businesses. It is a mature neighborhood with large yards, wonderful landscaping, a neighborhood pool and an absolute wonderful location. In addition, recreation is abundant with the High Line Canal trail running throughout the neighborhood.
Greenwood Village real estate in general is comprised of higher end homes, with many prestigious executive homes throughout. Green Oaks is no exception and although some are a bit older than other areas of the south metro area, they are still absolutely lovely and highly desirable. Lot size, location and amenities in Green Oaks plays into part here as well. Green Oaks also has many homes with extensive renovations as well as complete scrape & rebuilds into luxurious executive homes.

Sales in Green Oaks have started out a bit slow so far this year, but I expect to see that increase as we head into full swing of the spring buying season. As of today March 24th, there are currently 6 resale properties available in Green Oaks (listed in the MLS) ranging from $1,050,000 to $1,299,000. In addition there are 2 homes Under Contract in the Green Oaks neighborhood with a range of list price from $1,000,000 to $1,395,000.
There has been 1 Home Sale (sold & closed per MLS - not including For Sale By Owner/ FSBO & possible builder re-construction) in Green Oaks since January 1st, 2008.
If you are interested in seeing homes in Green Oaks, or have further interest in Greenwood Village real estate, it would be my pleasure to assist you.

Throughout the Denver area, so many neighborhoods have an abundance of recreation opportunities. And having trails almost everywhere is no exception. They are especially plentiful in the South Denver Metro area, and one of my favorites is the High Line Canal Trail.

No matter the weather, you will almost always find people out on the trail - walking dogs, running or biking. The below photo on the right shows an exercise area for adding to your work-outs.

These particular photos were taken recently on a day that reminds me that spring is just about here and it will be summer in a flash. They are all taken on a section of the High Line Canal trail that runs through Greenwood Village, particularly the Green Oaks and Greenwood Acres neighborhoods. It was a bit quieter on the trail than usual, and it was very enjoyable.

If you are looking for Denver homes that back to the High Line Canal Trail - the Green Oaks or Greenwood Acres neighborhoods in Greenwood Village may be right for you. And there are numerous other neighborhoods throughout Greenwood Village and the rest of the South Denver area when considering Denver real estate that could make the desire to have a trail out your back door a reality. Both of these neighborhoods, Green Oaks and Greenwood Acres, offer larger yards, mature landscaping and the homes range from older, modest homes, to homes with intense renovations, to complete scrape and builds that now are impressive, luxurious executive homes.
