About Highlands Ranch's Firelight

When searching for a home in the Denver suburbs, school boundaries are sometimes a very important qualifier for the search location. While Colorado is an open enrollment state, the opportunity to enroll children at any public school only exists if there is room. Some schools are at or near capacity, and living within the school's geographic boundaries can sometimes be the only or best way to be certain of enrollment. Additionally, if you do not live within the school boundaries, school bus will not be a transportation option for you.

Copper Mesa Elementary is a K - 6 school in Highlands Ranch and part of the Douglas County School District. Copper Mesa is one of the few elementary schools in Highlands Ranch that is on a Conventional or Traditional school calendar. Basically that just means it will match very closely with the middle and high schools. Most of the other Highlands Ranch elementary schools are on what is called "Modified" calendar, their summer is a tad shorter and their spring and fall breaks are a bit longer.

Copper Mesa Elementary is located in the Firelight neighborhood of Highlands Ranch. The boundaries include homes in most homes in Firelight, but not all. Kids that have Copper Mesa Elementary as their home school feed to Mountain Ridge Middle School and Mountain Vista High School.

Firelight Neighborhood: Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes

The Firelight neighborhood in Highlands Ranch is a beautiful neighborhood located in the Southridge area of Highlands Ranch Colorado.

Firelight's location makes it convenient for shopping, dinning, close to schools parks & trails and the Southridge Rec Center.  The Southridge Rec Center is the newest of the 4 HRCA rec centers and features a beautiful indoor pool with lazy river, outdoor pool, auditorium, dance/martial arts studio room, gym and work out facilities.
