Highlands Ranch CO - Playgrounds and Parks - Spotlight on Northridge Park
Highlands Ranch Colorado has many playgrounds and parks to choose from, which is great at least from my son's perspective.
Today the spotlight is on Northridge Park in Highlands Ranch CO. The Northridge Park is tucked in behind the Northridge Recreation Center south of C-470 and just east of Broadway Blvd. The Park is one of the largest in Highlands Ranch at 33 acres.
The park offers variety of things to do, which is probably why it is favored by many children.
The Highlands Ranch Metro District offers several camps and activities at the Northridge Park including Basketball and currently the Flag football season is underway and some of the games are played there.
The park has a wonderful playground with slides, swings and climbing "things". There is also a sand area and an area for the smaller munchkins.
Next to the playground there is a picnic shelter and bathrooms. There are 2 shelters, several barbacue grills and many tables.
The park also has a basketball court, 3 baseball fields and 4 fields for football or soccer.

Two other fun finds at this park.
1. There is a large tree that the kids love to climb located next to the basketball court.
2. One of the best things about this playground is that it is covered by large trees which gives much needed relief from the sun during those hot summer days.
If you are ever looking for a playground and happen to be in the vicinity of the Northridge Rec Center. Swing on by the Northridge Park for some fun time for the kids.
