Agents Update those Antiquated Pictures.

You have all seen them, pictures of Realtors that look the same age as their children. These pictures indicate the need for a reality check. I remember meeting a Realtor whose face and picture did not match at a listing. She was unrecognizable! She was at least 20 years older than her picture. She looked fine in the flesh. In our negotiations I realized that she was stuck in the era of her picture. She presented me in person with five copies of her buyers contract, and 5 copies of all the disclosures. It was nearly a half a ream of paper. She could not fax, scan or email.There is a connection between technology and old pictures I have found. Some do not have cell phones. In a way I admire their refusal to get with the times. Cell phones can be a pain but they are the lifeline to freedom from the office.

It would be fun to show some of these reality disconected pictures but that would be mean. Maybe it is mean to let them go on with their antiquated image. Hopefully they will read this and get the hint.

PS. My picture was taken a year ago. Except for the length of my hair. I look the same.
