Steamboat Condo Development Renovations at Torian, The Phoenix, and The Ranch

New Promenade at Steamboat Base Area

There is a new promenade being built that stretches from Torian Plum to One Steamboat Place in Steamboat Springs, CO. It’s a year-round pedestrian walkway featuring snow-melt pavers in the winter and Burgess Creek highlighted in the summer. The Promenade has already transformed the way the base area looks, and it isn’t set for completion until next summer.

Torian Plum and Torian Creekside Condos

Torian Plum and Torian Creekside— Torian Plum and Creekside have used the timing of the promenade construction zone to repair the roof over the Torian parking garage and transform the large grassy area into a plaza with pavers and better access to the ski slopes. The $2 million improvement will be paid from capital reserves and a special assessment to the Torian Plum and Torian Creekside owners.

The Phoenix— The Phoenix was looking a bit dated even though it is only a short walk to the Steamboat Ski Area. This summer, the Phoenix HOA completed a $3.9 million renovation that changed the Phoenix's tired 1980's exterior to a stylish, modern façade. Owners at The Phoenix were assessed between $50,000-$90,000 based on the size of their condo.

The Ranch at Steamboat Condos

The Ranch at Steamboat— The Ranch HOA took advantage of the slower economy to spruce up the development with a multi-year remodeling project. The Ranch has replaced and renovated the decks and hot tub area and updated the grounds with new landscaping, exterior staining, and new signs and lights. The Ranch has a pool, tennis, conference room and large 23 acre open space making it a unique Steamboat condo development. The good news? Ranch owners didn’t have a big bill for a special assessment as reserve accounts and a line of credit funded the project.

Steamboat Private Lake

Steamboat Private Lake

It was great to get in some late season water-skiing this afternoon. We had a fantastic afternoon out at the lake as a family and it was clear why this is our favorite family summer activity. Wendy grew up on Canandaigua Lake, one of the Finger Lakes in UpState NY and I grew up on The St. Joseph River, a 100 yard wide plus glassy river that flows into lake Michigan. Our first date was water-skiing on a private lake just inside Boulder, CO's city limits that I was a member on for 12 plus years and little did I know that her dream was too get married on water-skiis. Here is a link to use celebrating our 10th Anniversary this summer in Steamboat Water-Skiing. I married far above myself and this is most of the reason why.

This is a little late for most people because it is getting cold at Steamboat Lake and Stagecoach Reservoir not to mention that It tend to ski much earlier and later than most. I can't help it, it is in my blood. That said the water was more than comfortable even in jsut a shorty due to this being a lake down in the valley that is relatively shallow so it is comfortable much earlier and later than the public lakes around Steamboat. As you can see from the picture the water stays a bit smoother on a hot afternoon too. If you would like to know more about private lakes in Steamboat Springs or just Steamboat Water-skiing and Wakeboarding in general feel free to email or give me a call. (yes that is Mount Werner in the back right of the photo.)

Tight lines and glassy water to you, there are a few more good weeks of water-skiing before we switch to snow...
