The City of Thornton officially dedicated it's new aquatic center earlier this month. The new aquatics center, named the Veteran's Memorial Aquatic Center or VMAC, is a new state of the art facility primed to cater to the growing need for a swimming center for local high schools as well as other competitive groups.
Located on 136th between Holly and Colorado and across from Horizon's High School the site will help fill a need for residents located on the north side of the city. The VMAC was built adjacent to the Trailwinds Open Space on the northwest side of the park.
The new aquatics center boasts a solar power heating system that is used to warm the water. When you have a chance go by and take a look for yourself.

Check out North Creek Farms if you want a newer home that's not squished onto a tiny lot, and still at a great price.
Home prices are lower in Thornton because it's farther east and farther north than most people want to live, but it's perfect for people who work anyplace with a few minutes' drive. And since I-25 is right there, that covers a lot of ground!
Just take exit 290, then take the first left. Once you see turn right and you're at North Creek Farms.
There's lots of shopping nearby, including Office Depot, Home Depot, restaurants, Costco, and more.
North Creek Farms has 289 homes, mostly 2-story and about 13% ranch (single-story) style homes, with basements. These homes were all built at least since 2001, they get newer as you go north in the subdivision. According to Public Records there is only one non owner-occupied.

Buffalo Wild Wings has opened a new location in the Larkridge Shopping Center in Thornton, CO. Over 200 people waited outside the grand opening early one morning in September in hopes of being one of the first 100 people to receive a coupon book good for free wings for one year.
