Columbia Lake
Owned and operated by the town of Columbia, Columbia Lake is a welcome respite for the work weary and daily routine down trodden. Columbia Lake is home to various waterside activities, including swimming, and fishing. It is also one of several Lakes in the region that allow motor boating. In order to boat on Columbia Lake, you need to obtain a seasonal pass from the first selectman's office, and register with the town hall. This is to keep noise levels down, and to ensure that all who come to the lake, can enjoy its beautiful pleasures.
Columbia Lake is a great place to come for an afternoon, and enjoy a little sun, rest and relaxation with the family. Other than the waterfront homes, its natural surroundings are virtually untouched, and are immaculately maintained. The beach opens on memorial day, and employs regular lifeguards to ensure a fun safe time fro everyone. So come down, bring the family and enjoy yourselves!
Just as Columbia Lake is a great place to relax, Columbia is a fantastic place to call home. If you enjoy traditional New England, you'll enjoy Columbia's charming historic farmlands, antique shops, and cozy bed and breakfast inns. Columbia homes reflect the same type of traditional charm, and are pristine examples of southern New England living. If you are thinking of exploring home options in Eastern Connecticut, then Columbia just might be right for you.
