I had some time before a meeting yesterday so I decided to drive around Lake Waramaug to take new photos. It was a beautiful day, and I was not disappointed. I am in the process of putting the photos together to share them, but this one was just to great to pass up putting out there now.

Just moments before this picture was shot, the pooch was swimming after the ducks. Then just as he reached them he turned around and headed for shore. I wasn't quite sure why he turned around. Because he had reached his goal? Or he realized he was outnumbered? Or perhaps he just lost interest, maybe a sound in the distance had taken his attention. I don't know. Or maybe the ducks were a bigger challenge than he thought.
I did see these ducks just a bit before, I think they were in class. You really have to wonder what that heron was teaching them, don't you?
