In this post I share the 6 ways to identify a credit repair scam according to the FTC:
If you are not that organized or willing to do it yourself, work with a company referred by someone you know that has used them successfully.
Here are 6 ways to identify a credit repair scam:
" 1 * The company wants you to pay for credit repair services before they provide any services. Under the Credit Repair Organizations Act, credit repair companies cannot require you to pay until they have completed the services they have promised.
2 * The company doesn't tell you your rights and what you can do for yourself for free.
3 * The company recommends that you do not contact any of the three major national credit reporting companies directly.
4 * The company tells you they can get rid of most or all the negative credit information in your credit report, even if that information is accurate and current.
5 * The company suggests that you try to invent a "new" credit identity - and then, a new credit report - by applying for an Employer Identification Number to use instead of your Social Security number.
6 * The company advises you to dispute all the information in your credit report, regardless of its accuracy or timeliness."

Just Purchased, 26 Fox Run Woodbury CT
Woodlake Condos, Bank Owned Property
I have just helped a client purchase this 3 bedroom 2.5 ‘Countryhouse’ model in the Woodlake condominium community of Woodbury,CT. This bank-owned handy man special gave the buyer a great opportunity to build equity over time through various improvement projects. We were able to get a $5200 at closing costs paid by the bank to go toward the immediate repairs (replace the water damaged kitchen ceiling and to remove the mold in the basement).
The Woodlake condo community in Woodbury, CT is composed of 400 units ranging from 1 bedroom-3 bedrooms. Constructed between the late 1970s-early 1980s, Woodlake feels more like a resort than a neighborhood that you would live in. With a heated indoor pool, gym, miles of hiking trails, tennis courts, private lake and nearby antiquing, Woodlake does have something more almost everyone. Woodlake is located about 30 minutes northeast from NY state line on I-84 and only 10 minutes from exit 14, which makes it a great spot to commute both to Danbury & the Naugatuck Valley.
Purchased for $130,000, the monthly payments on this property will be less than what the buyer was currently spending on rent for a 1 bedroom apartment. Contact me today, so I can help you find a smart investment for your first home!

The Woodbury Flea Market is a massive event where vendors from across the state set up camp to sell their antique wares to the general public. The Flea Market takes place every Saturday, if weather permits, and has between 30 - 50 vendors each week!
The old Woodbury Flea Market use to be held at the driving range of Woodbury, which now has been sold to developers to create some retail outlets. The new Woodbury Flea Market is held in the empty field at the intersection of route 6 and route 64 (Ben Sherman Hill rd.)
Currently, Gus Kaloidis, his daughter Chrisante, and his son Vasilios, are running the operation. It is another one of many of Woodbury's family affairs, and it adds the personal touch that only a family business can provide.
So come down to Woodbury, CT on a Saturday and check out the unique items for sale at the Woodbury Flea Market location at the field at the intersection of route 6 and route 64.
