Market statisics for Congress Heights Washington, DC for August are very interesting since the stats shows a trend of the market softening in the section of Washington, DC. Free DC Back to School Health Festival. Its almost that time for children to go back to school in DC. Its seems like it was just yesterday that most children were out of school for the summer. Time flies I tell you. Anyway Unison Health Plan of the Capital Area by United Health Care presents Two-Day Back to School Connected Care Family Health Festival that will include an 18 wheel United Healthcare Connected Care Mobile Health Clinic that will showcase Telehealth Technology.
First day events include Immunizations,Back to school supplies and healthy cooking demonstrations and giveaways.
Second day events include March of Dimes "Mama & Baby Bus" with HIV Testing and Pregnancy Counseling,Diabetes risk assessments,BMI Screenings along with some Back to school supplies.
On August 18,the March of Dimes "Mama & Baby Bus" will be at the D.C Department of Parks and Recreation to administer blood pressure and dental screenings,HIV testing and pregnancy counseling.
Both events will be from 8:00am-5:00pm at the United Medical Center on Tuesday and at 1310 Southern Avenue SE Washington DC 20032 and at D.C Department of Parks and Recreation 3149 16th Street NW Washington DC 20010 on Wednesday.
So parents if you have an teenager children,please bring them out to the Free DC Back to School Health Festival. And if you know anyone who needs this,please tell them to come out. You don't have to pay. It is free.
I want to personally thank the Unison Health Plan of the Capital Area Inc. for providing this free DC Back to School Health Festival for the community. This is something that people need but some people either can't afford it or don't know about how to get it. Remember that candy bar commercial (I forgot which one candy bar it was) that said sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don't. Sometimes I feel like writing DC Real Estate Market Reports and sometimes I don't (how many real estate agents do you know who loves doing Real Estate Market Reports when the Market is not great?). But like I've learned as a Real Estate Professional,we must always report the Real Estate news whether it is good or bad.
DC Congress Heights Real Estate Market Report zip code 20032 is not great but it is not bad either compared to the numbers last year. While home sales are up in DC Congress Heights Real Estate Market i20032 zip code area,it is taking much longer to sell them compared to last year. Average days on the market in DC Congress Heights was 86 days compared to 21 days this same time last April. However home sales were up a whooping 250%-Yeah you are reading it right-250%. But then again that's because only 7 houses in DC Congress Heights last month compared to just 2 houses this same time last year.
Highest priced DC Congress Heights house that was sold was a 3 bedroom house in the $200,000-$249,999 price range. And one thing that I was shocked to find out that out of the seven houses that were sold in DC Congress Heights,4 of them were cash buyers-MONEY!MONEY!MONEY!MONEY! $$$MONEY$$! I could use some cash buyers right now.

Just like I said in one of my other blogs DC Deanwood Real Estate Market Report ( Zip code 20019)-March 2009 I said that "But as real estate professionals,we always have to report the truth to the public whether good or bad. Well you can say the same for the DC Congress Heights Real Estate Market Report (Zip code 20032).
Homes for sale in DC Congress Heights were 187 days compared to 66 days last year-a 183.33% increase. Average sold price of a house in DC Congress Heights was $120,213 compared to $206,485 this same time last year. 2 out of the 4 houses that sold in DC Congress Heights used a FHA loan. Three of the four houses that sold in DC Congress Heights were on the market 120 days or over.
