Randle Heights - A Neighborhood in Washington, DC
At the far eastern edge of the DC county line in the southeast quadrant lies Randle Heights. Largely a residential neighborhood, it has increased in popularity in recent years as houses around Capitol Hill have become increasingly expensive and as DC's government has focused on the neighborhood, and nearby Anacostia, with revitalization projects. The Navy Yard is fairly close, and the Department of Homeland Security is constructing a new, large office there. Fort Stanton Park, an old defence against the Confederate Army, holds one of the Smithsonian Museums.
Randle Heights is bounded on the north by Alabama Avenue, the east and south by the county line, itself, and the west by the Suitland Parkway.
